Yuri Norstein recently came to Evergreen. It was pretty cool. I could talk about the technical work of this piece for days!
I had no idea he is so prolific! I just watched a few more of his pieces, Good Night Children is particularly sweet. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an animation style quite like his… it’s refreshing to watch after years of mainstream American animation.
he has this amazing multiplane, he used frosted glass and that to make that fog effect in hedgehog.
